A: We use only pure essential oils, carrier oils and bases (such as cocoa and shea butter, coconut oil, bees wax, jojoba, etc.), herbs and more - organic when available. Natural ingredients mean better quality products.

6. Q: What specialized training does Aromatherapeutic Solutions have?
A: Dawn Langley-Brady is a Certified Clinical Aromatherapy Practitioner and a Masters Degree Registered Nurse with over 20 years of field experience. She is a Board Certified - Advanced Holistic Nurse, a nationally certified Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse, an instructor at Georgia Regents University in the College of Nursing, and the Leader of the CSRA Chapter of the American Holistic Nurses Association. Dawn is also a first year student in the PhD in Nursing program at GRU. Her dissertation will be the use of aromatherapy for reduction of neuropathic pain in patients with chemotherapy-induced neuropathic pain.
7. Q: Are your products certified by the FDA?
A: Currently, aromatherapy and aromatherapy products are regulated as cosmetics and beauty products by the FDA. Due to this categorization, aromatherapy products cannot make any health claims on their labeling, advertising, or in their websites. We keep abreast of all new legislation related to the practice of aromatherapy through the National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy and the Alliance of International Aromatherapists, and remain in compliance with all applicable regulations.
8. Q: Aromatherapy is just candles, right?
A: Aromatherapy can be diffused through candles, but is also in balms, creams, diffusers, lotions, inhalers, oils, salves, spritzers, bathing salts, natural soaps, lip balms and more. Some essential oils can even be used 'neat' or undiluted - applied directly to the skin - such as lavender in the treatment of sunburn.
9. Q: Isn't Aromatherapy for new age people? I don't know if I believe in it.
A: You will be pleased to know that essential oils used in aromatherapy are from plants, trees, fruits, flowers, resins, etc. and at Aromatherapeutic Solutions, we use only the highest quality essential oils from the most reputable suppliers - suppliers that also recycle and use fair trade and sustainable practices.
